Step into the magic of the holiday season with the Gonzales Historic Homes Winterfest Tour! Taking place during Winterfest weekend, this beloved tradition offers a unique opportunity to experience some of Gonzales’ most iconic historic homes beautifully adorned for Christmas.
For just $25, your proof of purchase (or wristband) grants you access to all four homes on tour, valid for either day of the event. The tour is open from 1 to 5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday, giving you plenty of time to explore and enjoy the festive charm of each location.

A ticket to the Historic Homes Tour Covers Admission! Explore the rich history of Gonzales, Texas, at the JB Wells Home and Museum. Immerse yourself in the story of James Bailey Wells, a trailblazer in the cattle industry, whose legacy lives on in this beautifully preserved mansion.

Tour the Episcopal Church of the Messiah
The church, built in 1881, is the oldest building still in use as originally intended. The altar, lectern and pulpit are made from Gonzales County walnut. Block originally designated Cemetery Square. Land at this site was granted by city officials, and construction of the Gothic Revival sanctuary was completed in 1881. The original wooden belfry was replaced by the native stone bell tower in 1928.
